The
Alexander Christian Foundation of Iowa is a unique non-profit organization
formed in 1989 for the purpose of granting scholarships to students who are
members of the Independent Christian Church/Church of Christ in Iowa, for the
advancement of their Christian education.
Our Mission
Annually assist students seeking to go into full-time Christian Ministry.
Provide scholarships and encouragement to young people who want to pursue Christian Ministry.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Requirements for Applying
Resident of Iowa desiring to serve in a church-related vocation
Attending
member of an Independent Christian Church/ Church of Christ in Iowa
Attending, or plan to attend, an approved
Independent Christian Church/ Church of Christ Bible college or seminary full
time (12 hours minimum)
Application Procedure
The candidate must complete and submit an application and all requested information on or before February 1

Questionnaire
Complete the personal, education, and Christian service info, and include a photo of yourself.

Essay
A 500 to 1,000-word essay on the subject listed in the requirements on the cover
sheet.

Transcript
An OFFICIAL transcript copy of high school grades, if in high school, or college grades, if in college.

Minister Evaluation
Have the minister from your home church complete the Minister Evaluation.

Elder Evaluation
Have an elder from your home church complete the Elder Evaluation.
The amount of scholarships will depend on the number of applications and money available. After an initial scholarship is awarded, it will be necessary for the student to reapply for the succeeding school year.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of ministers and lay people
from all walks of life. They are all non-compensated Christian men and women
who are members of Christian Churches/Churches of Christ in Iowa.
Applications are reviewed by a Reviewing Board and scholarships are awarded by the Board of Directors.
